Project Description

The Media First TV Platform is built using the micro services architecture. These services hosted in the cloud provide security, subscriber management, program discovery, DVR, analytics and other related features. The platform needs to be scalable, especially during events which cause a spike in traffic, such as sporting events (Superbowl in US as an example).

Using Transaction Cost Analysis, a usage profile is created. A test environment specifically for performance tests is setup with the system configuration matching the production configuration. This performance environment is sized as per projected number of users and typical user profile. Load test tools are used to generate load on the system based on the usage profile. The system is monitored during the test using the monitoring tools available.
