MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

I am Orina DCosta, Founder, Maker, Software Architect and Mom.

Growing up in Mumbai, India, I was the first girl in my extended family to graduate with an engineering degree in Computer Science. I had an opportunity to spend a year in Sydney, Australia and enjoyed working there and spending time at the beaches. I hope to go back there someday.

Had the opportunity to work, learn and play with some really smart and cool people in the Silicon Valley at big companies like Microsoft and Netflix and startups like Mobi Weave.

During the same time, life happened and I met my soulmate and had three wonderful children who have helped me discover my passions, love and myself and they continue to do so every single day.

It is very important to me to form strong bonds within our family. One of the ways we achieve this is by playing together, we love playing outdoors as well as indoor games like board games and card games. Playing together helps us come closer and helps us stay healthy as well, both mentally and physically.

We also visit the Maker Faire every year along with thousands of folks who come together to celebrate invention, creativity and curiosity.

The Maker philosophy and movement has become an intrinsic part of our lives and led me to create Maker Fiesta, a magical place where kids and adults are invited to Make, Play and Share.
